North Carolina Zoological Park: Geyser Fountain

An overlook to a large grassy area featuring bison, elk, and other prairie animals needed more visual interest. Our design features five constructed fountains depicting the type of natural geysers found in the Yellowstone Park area. These geysers appear to "erupt" in timed cycles, shooting water as high as thirty feet. The design incorporates constructed mud flats created by the Zoo's exhibit staff.
