Walter B. Jones Center for the Sounds

The Walter B. Jones Center for the Sounds promotes ecotourism, environmental education and sustainable design and construction. The site preserves the natural landscape and rural setting and relates the building to the Scuppernong River and its wetland ecology. We designed a site plan for the building and a half-mile nature trail/boardwalk through the river swamp to focus importance on the interrelationship of human and riparian systems.
