Thomas Wolfe Sculpture Garden

This garden and sitting area is located near historic Polk Place at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Designed as a memorial to alumnus Thomas Wolfe, a bronze sculpture by Richard Kinnaird depicts Wolfe’s best-known novel, Look Homeward Angel. Our design features benches, native plantings, and symbolic elements from the novel.
